Sharpsville Container Corporation has a long-standing tradition of supplying UN/DOT-rated transport vessels to a wide cross-section of industries.
Our process starts with an understanding of customer requirements. Once these are fully understood, we utilize our ASME, UN/DOT, and Transport Canada certifications to provide our customers with complete assurance that each unit is fit for its intended use. Our ability to meet the demands of the chemical, pharmaceutical, and general industrial markets makes Sharpsville Container Corporation the primary UN/DOT Transport Vessel supplier to many industry leaders.
Sharpsville offers great flexibility when it comes to material selection. From carbon steel to stainless steel, to nickel-based alloys, Sharpsville Container Corporation’s highly skilled American workers carry the necessary credentials to produce robust, code-compliant products for the market.
Our business is built on flexible designs, and the ability to work with a broad range of materials and shorter lead times.
UN/DOT Carbon Steel Vessels vs. Stainless Steel Transport Vessels
While Sharpsville Container Corporation frequently uses stainless steel for our transport vessels, our carbon steel tanks are also highly effective options for many clients. We offer both standard and custom-built options. These UN/DOT vessels can be rated to meet a wide range of code requirements. These include UN A1A, DOT 4BW, DOT T-21, DOT-50, and Transport Canada. In some cases, we also offer ASME certifications in conjunction with DOT/TC.
Sharpsville Container Corporation offers a re-certification service to our customers. Rigorous testing and repair procedures insure that the vessels leave our shop fully compliant with privilege regulations. This could potentially extend the service life of the vessel and reduce fleet CAPEX costs.
