I understand that Sharpsville Container Corp. requires certain information about me to evaluate my qualifications for employment and to conduct its business if I become an employee. I further understand that pursuant to MCL 423.452, an employer may disclose to an employee or that individual’s prospective employer information relating to the individual’s job performance that is documented in the individual’s personnel file upon the request of the individual or his or her prospective employer. I further understand that pursuant to MCL 423.452, an employer who discloses the above described information in good faith is immune from civil liability for the disclosure. Therefore, I authorize the Company to investigate my past employment, educational credentials, and other employment related activities. I agree to co-operate in such investigations.

I understand that any offer of employment with Sharpsville Container Corp. would not be for any fixed period of time and that, if employed, I may resign at any time for any reason; or Sharpsville Container Corp. may terminate my employment at any time with or without cause in the absence of a specific written agreement to the contrary. I further acknowledge my understanding that statements which may be contained in policies, handbooks, and other Company material do not create any guarantees of employment and that any promises to the contrary will only be relied upon by me if they are in writing signed by the C.E.O./President of the Company.
In consideration of Sharpsville Container’s review of my application, I agree that any claim, action or lawsuit arising out of my employment with, or my application for employment with, Sharpsville Container or any of its subsidiaries, including, but not limited to, claims arising under any State or Federal civil rights statutes, must be brought within 180 days of the event or employment action that is the subject of the claim, action or lawsuit. While I understand that the statute of limitations for claims arising out of an employment action may be longer than 180 days, I agree to be bound by the 180 day period of limitations set forth herein, and I WAIVE ANY STATUTE OF LIMITATIONS TO THE CONTRARY.
